Luxury Beach Club in the Party Ghetto

Most German holidaymakers on Mallorca will be familiar with Arenal and the Playa de Palma, home as it is to the Ballermann and the Schinkenstrasse. The party mecca for British holidaymakers on the island is called Magaluf: on the western side of the Bay of Palma, not far from the Puerto Portals marina and the newly opened Port Adriano, lies the party strip favoured mainly by British revellers, mixed in with a handful of local Spaniards. Scandinavians, Italians and Americans tend to prefer the "English-speaking" party stronghold in the south-west of the island to the more German-oriented Playa de Palma.

In the heart of party-mad Magaluf, the luxury beach club "Nikki Beach" opened at the start of the summer season. Russian millionaires, party holidaymakers, models, the pampered and the wannabes all rubbed shoulders in this exclusive and far-from-cheap club in the Magaluf party ghetto.

The season-crowning End of Season Party takes place on Sunday 7 October: from midday, glamorous waitresses treat the assembled guests to champagne and exotic cocktails.
