The New Porsche Sport Turismo: Still Just a Dream for Many
The "Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo" concept car is flexing its muscles at the Paris Motor Show and taking the breath away from astonished onlookers. This study of what is likely to be Porsche's next production model offers a glimpse of the German luxury marque's vision for the future of the car market: plenty of technology, along with computers and controls, wrapped in an extravagant, futuristic design.
Perhaps a Porsche robot car in the future, too
Porsche still sets the standard for design and engine power in the sports-car segment, but another company is now leading the way when it comes to the mobility of the future. With its robot car, Google has cleared the path onto Californian highways, where, before long, the law will allow anyone to register a driverless passenger vehicle.
The Porsche estate: a design treat
The Panamera, which many Porsche fans find too bulky, takes on a more rounded, more complete form with the "Sport Turismo" model and, especially with its striking new interior design, is set to win over buyers old and new.
A hybrid in the Porsche.
What's more, the new Porsche model will feature a hybrid powertrain, like the one already used in the Porsche Panamera.
For now, on Mallorca you can only hire the Porsche Panamera; the Sport Turismo is still a few years away. Until then, the photos of the design study will have to satisfy our curiosity about the production model.
