Amigo Bikes does not run an all-inclusive model: the low day rates come with no theft or damage insurance – you bear the risk away from the shop. Factor in the cash deposit and compare the final price with providers that include insurance.
About Amigo Bikes
Behind Amigo Bikes is Marc Laubinger, who runs his bike hire at Calle Castellet 38 A in Cala Ratjada with an attached workshop – by his own account always staffed during opening hours. The fleet is made up almost entirely of Orbea bikes: the carbon Orca M30 road bike with Shimano 105 in six frame sizes (49–60 cm, for riders from 1.60 m to over 2 m), the Terra H30 gravel bikes – since March 2026 also as a new 1x12 model with Shimano GRX – the Onna 10 hardtail MTB with RockShox fork, the entry-level MX20 MTB, the Urrun 30 e-MTB with Shimano EP600 motor and 540 Wh battery, and the Optima e-touring bike with Bosch drive. Added to these are the compact Katu 50 city bike, a trekking bike and children's bikes in 20 and 24 inch. Prices are shown transparently per model on the website: road bike, new gravel bike and e-MTB each cost €33 per day or €190 per week, the hardtail MTB €25/day (€145/week), the children's bike €7/day. With the road and gravel bikes you get two bottle cages plus a saddlebag with a spare tube, tyre levers and an Allen key, and the gravel bike additionally comes with a puncture repair kit. Important for your budget: you pay the deposit (€20–100 depending on the bike) in cash, and away from the shop the bikes are not insured – a lock is compulsory, and at night you can alternatively leave the bike at Amigo Bikes. That makes this bike hire in Cala Ratjada suited above all to holidaymakers in the north-east who want to collect their bike in town and switch flexibly between a sports bike and an everyday bike. Very nice team!
We were in Capdepera and were looking for a provider in Cala Ratjada, and found Amigo Bikes. The bikes are flawless and the advice is superb. Happy to return!

Marc from 'Amigo Bikes' knows what he's talking about.
Both on the technical side and with the route suggestions.
Better sturdier (and therefore slightly heavier) wheels and tyres than risking a puncture off-road.
Puncture-free and trouble-free on the tours across sometimes remote terrain increases the fun factor.
That's how it was for me – thanks Marc!

Marc von 'Amigo-Bikes' weiß wovon er spricht.
Sowohl in punkto Technik – als auch bei den Touren-Vorschlägen.
Lieber stabilere (somit etwas schwerere) Laufräder und Reifen, als eine Panne im Gelände zu riskieren.
Pannenfrei und ohne Probleme bei den Touren auf teils entlegenem Gelände erhöht den Spaß-Faktor.
So war das bei mir – Danke Marc!
Auch bei den Touren-Vorschlägen könnt ihr von seinen Erfahrungen auf Mallorca profitieren:

We hired an e-bike from Marc and were more than satisfied – both with the e-bike, which was in mint condition, and with the service around the hire. Everything is very professional and you get a lock, pump, puncture repair kit, etc. without even having to ask.
Amigo Bikes is quite simply the very best address for bikes in all of Cala Ratjada – the owner really knows his stuff and is a cool guy too!

Wir haben ein E-Bike bei Marc ausgeliehen und waren mehr als zufrieden – sowohl mit dem E-Bike das in einem 1a Zustand war, als auch mit dem Service rund um den Verleih. Alles ist sehr professionell und man bekommt Schloss, Pumpe, Flickzeug etc. unaufgefordert mit.
Amigo Bikes ist einfach die allerbeste Adresse für Fahrräder in ganz Cala Ratjada – der Inhaber hat richtig Ahnung und ist auch ein cooler Typ!
