The insurance at Bimont, according to the hire terms, expressly covers only damage to third parties - falls, damage to the hire bike and theft are charged against the €400 deposit or, beyond that, to the hirer. This is a narrower scope of insurance than at providers with genuine all-inclusive cover.
About Bimont Bikehire
Bimont (legally Ciclos Bimont S.L.) runs, according to its own website, two locations on Mallorca: the head office at Camí de Jesús 62 in the Can Valero industrial estate, Palma, and a store at Carrer del Coral 9 in Alcúdia with its own phone number, WhatsApp and email address. The current market research had initially classified the Alcúdia shop as possibly closed, as it seemed to have disappeared from parts of the website – however, the most recently checked website still lists the location with full contact details. The location question therefore remains one to treat with caution.
The hire fleet is modest: currently bookable online are two Cannondale road bikes (SuperSix EVO 3 with Shimano 105 Di2, Synapse Carbon 2 LE, also Shimano 105 Di2) as well as a Niner RLT E9 RDO – according to its own information the brand's first electric gravel bike, equipped with a Bosch Performance Line CX and Shimano GRX shifting. The Cannondale Synapse is currently advertised from €25/day. For online bookings a minimum hire period of 3 days applies; for collection directly in the shop, 1 day is enough.
The hire terms provide for a deposit of €400 (cash or by credit-card hold) as well as a pure third-party liability insurance: damage to third parties is covered, but not your own falls, damage to the hire bike or theft – these are first offset against the deposit. Cancellations are free up to 30 days before the start of the hire; at 15 to 29 days a 50% fee applies, and under 15 days before the start of the hire the full amount is due.

Good bike, fair price, little service
We hired 3 bikes, they were Bianchi bikes, very nice, and that for €42/day/bike including accessories.
The adjustment did take a while, which can happen now and then.

Die Einstellung hat schon etwas gedauert, kann bestimmt mal passieren.
