Call&Ride Palma
Quick Verdict
Call&Ride is a shop right in the old town of Palma, barely a three-minute walk from the cathedral and the Paseo del Borne, with a broad fleet from city bike to e-bike and a daily city tour from 10:30 right outside the door. Anyone looking for a bike to explore the old town and coastal promenade, or wanting to do a guided tour with no advance planning, is in the right place here; anyone needing a sporty road or gravel bike for long island stages will not find one in the range.

About Call&Ride Palma
The shop is on the Plaza del Rosario 4, in the middle of the old town and within walking distance of the cathedral, Paseo del Borne, Plaza de la Reina and the Jaime III shopping street. According to the website, the range includes among others the Trek Verve+ 1 Low Step (e-bike, Bosch motor, up to around 40 km range), the more powerful Trek Verve+1 Low Step PRO with a 500-watt Bosch drive and over 100 km range, the Trek FX 2 Disc Equipped hybrid bike, the Giant Escape City Disc 2, the Specialized models Sirrus X 2.0 Step-Through and Roll Low Entry, as well as a simple city bike (Capri Berlin) and kids' bikes from B'twin in 16, 20 and 24 inch. Added to these are a Xiaomi e-scooter (Mi Electric Scooter M365), child seats, a child trailer (Burley Bee) and a saddlebag as accessories. In the FAQ on the operator's website, Call&Ride additionally names Scott and Kalkhoff as brands in the range.
According to the operator, city bikes cost from 10 euros per day, trekking bikes from 18 euros, e-bikes from 35 euros and the e-scooters from 30 euros – each as a daily price, tiered by hire duration. According to the website, every bike is hired out with a high-quality lock, and a helmet is available free of charge on request. To hire, you need photo ID (driving licence or passport) as well as a credit or debit card. Call&Ride also offers delivery of the bike to a hotel anywhere on the island as well as – at the shop itself – luggage storage (cabin case 5 euros/day, large case 10 euros/day).
Besides pure bike hire, Call&Ride runs a guided city tour through Palma's old town daily at 10:30 (cathedral, city wall, Lonja, Almudaina Palace, town hall, Paseo del Borne), plus a tour from the cruise port for day visitors. For anyone looking for a sportier road bike or gravel bike for longer island stages, it is worth a look at the other bike hire providers in Palma.
