About Ciclos Quintana

Ciclos Quintana is one of the oldest bike shops on Mallorca: founded as a family business in 1993, with the hire station on the Playa de Palma added in 2009. The bike hire has moved to Calle Trobadors 1A in El Arenal (confirmed by phone in July 2026, new number +34 601 307 799); the 200 m² shop with clothing and accessories from Assos, Castelli, Gobik, Sidi, Giro, POC, Abus and Oakley is at Avenida América 3. The location works well as a starting point: heading east and south you can warm up on flat to rolling roads, while for mountain stages you head into the Serra de Tramuntana – the airport is around 8 km away. According to the operator, close to 500 bikes are available for hire, most less than a year old and none older than five – after each return they are checked over in the workshop. In the online hire you'll find carbon road bikes ranging from the entry-level model with Shimano 105 (Merida Scultura 4000, from €30/day) through Di2 models such as the Cannondale SuperSix Evo and Pinarello Angliru (from €50/day) to the Trek Madone SL 5 with carbon wheels (€55/day). Added to that are the women's model Liv Langma, gravel bikes (Cannondale Topstone Carbon Lefty, KTM X-Strada), e-road bikes with motors from Bosch, Specialized or BH (€50/day) and e-bikes from €25/day. From the second day the daily price drops noticeably: the Scultura, for example, costs €130 for a whole week. Important for planning: Ciclos Quintana does not deliver to your hotel. You collect your bike between 9:30 and 12:30 or 3:00 and 5:30pm at the hire station – where it is adjusted for you – and return it by 6:00pm on the last day of hire; collection the evening before is not possible. In the cycling months of March to May as well as September and October, the station is open daily. The hire does not offer guided tours, and cycling shoes are only available to buy.
