About Cycling Planet Alaró
Cycling Planet has run since 2012 as a combination of bike hire, workshop and café in the centre of Alaró, at the foot of the Tramuntana. The shop was founded by David Muntaner, a world champion according to the website's team page, and Laura Brunot, who is responsible for the shop's interior. Also working in the team is mechanic Alberto Muntaner, who according to his own account likewise has racing experience.
According to the website, bikes from the brands Trek, Cinelli and Orbea are available to hire, bookable around the clock through the provider's online booking system. A 25% deposit is due at booking, with the remaining 75% paid on handover or delivery. According to its own information, Cycling Planet delivers to several zones of the island, from Playa de Muro, Alcúdia, Pollença and Port de Pollença, through Inca, Selva and Bunyola, to Palma, Sóller, Valldemossa and Deià, as well as the area around Alaró itself (Orient, Consell, Binissalem, Santa Maria, Lloseta).
According to the website, the in-house workshop repairs wheels and spokes and handles assembly, conversions and servicing; for suspension-fork setup the SHOCKWIZ system is mentioned.
