About Danilo Hondo ePoint Mallorca
Behind the bike hire at Rotonda 1 in Cala d’Or stands Danilo Hondo – a former pro cyclist with 90 road victories, including stages at the Giro d’Italia and the Peace Race. His ePoint next to the Eroski supermarket is also a Giant test centre: available to hire are road bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes from Giant and its sister brand Liv, and according to the operator children's bikes too. Two particular features are part of the concept: groups get a discount, and anyone who wants to keep their hire bike can buy it. The process is clearly set out: you book online or by email and pay in advance by PayPal, debit/credit card or bank transfer – with that, your bike is firmly reserved; payment only on collection is not provided for. For the handover you only need a valid identity card or passport, and no deposit is charged. Every bike comes with a mini pump, spare tube and tyre levers. On request the team delivers your bike to your holiday accommodation and calculates the price depending on the destination and route – collection at the shop is free. The bike hire is open all year: in summer (1 March to 31 October) seven days a week, in winter Monday to Saturday with a lunch break; only on 24–26 December do handover and return run exclusively by arrangement. With the Bike Center Astoria powered by Danilo Hondo on the Carretera d’Artà in Port d’Alcúdia there is a second location – so the operator covers not only the south-east but also the north of the island. It was great, he has every colour your heart could desire and his staff always think ahead. For example, one of our spokes had broken but we completely forgot about it and rode over to him to lower the saddle, and then he immediately put a new rear wheel on, and that was great, and of course everyone is very nice too.

Es war super er hat alle Farben die das Herz begehren und seine Mitarbeiter denken immer mit bei uns ist z.B die Speiche gebrochen aber wir haben das voll vergessen und sind zum Sattel runtermachen zu ihm gefahren und dann hat er uns sofort ein neues Hinterrad drauf gemacht und das war super und natürlich sind auch alle sehr nett

Once again we hired road bikes for a week at Danilo Hondo ePoint. They are current top bikes each time; very qualified and dedicated service.
Outstanding is the Liv road bike for women; can only be recommended. The frame is apparently specially adapted to the female body. It feels like it was made to measure. No road bike has ever felt like that for me (Elke). We'll come again.

Wir haben wieder einmal für eine Woche Rennräder bei Danielo Hondo ePoint ausgeliehen. Es sind jeweils aktuelle top Räder; sehr qualifizierter und engagierter Service.
Herausragend das Liv Rennrad für Frauen; Nur zu empfehlen. Der Radrahmen ist wohl ganz speziell auf den weiblichen Körper angepasst. Fühlt sich an, "wie angegossen". So hat sich für mich (Elke) noch nie ein Rennrad angefühlt. Wir werden wieder kommen.

I was at Danilo Hondo two days ago. The first impression was very good, a very clean bike station with very lovely, impressive bikes. The boss advised me personally, took his time and was very pleasant. In the end I hired a carbon road bike for myself and my wife. Everything went smoothly and without any fuss. So anyone who books here need not worry, the guys have it all under control!

Sehr sehr sehr freundlich!
Ich war vor zwei Tagen bei Danilo Hondo. Der erste Eindruck war sehr gut, sehr saubere Radstation mit sehr schönen eindrucksvollen Bikes. Der Chef hat mich persönlich beraten, hat sich Zeit genommen und war sehr angenehm. Letztendlich habe ich ein Carbon-Rennrad für mich und meine Frau gemietet. Alles verlief reibungslos und unkompliziert. Wer also hier bucht muss sich keine Sorgen machen, die Jungs haben alles im Griff!

High-end pro road bikes that come at a price...
Our group wanted to treat ourselves to some nice road bikes in Cala d'Or, and we were thoroughly satisfied with Danilo Hondo's hire. Just one point deducted for the very high price compared with other hire operators. On the Playa de Palma we'd paid considerably less for almost the same bikes with identical equipment. But since this time we were staying in Cala d'Or and delivery would also have cost money, we simply hired here. Anyone who has the spare cash and is looking for high-end equipment will surely find what they need here!

High-End Profi-Rennräder die Ihren Preis haben...
Unsere Truppe wollte sich in Cala Dor schöne Rennräder gönnen, und wir waren mit Danilo Hondos Vermietung rundum zufrieden. Lediglich einen Punkteabzug für den sehr hohen Preis im Vergleich zu anderen Vermietungen. In der Playa de Palma hatten wir wesentlich weniger bezahlt, für fast die gleichen Räder mit identischer Ausstattung. Da wir aber diesmal in Cala Dor untergebracht waren und die Auslieferung auch Geld gekostet hat, haben wir einfach hier gemietet. Wer das nötige Kleingeld hat und High-End Equipment sucht, wird hier sicherlich fündig!
