About Ecobikes Alcudia

Ecobikes Alcudia hires out a fleet from its shop in Port Alcúdia that ranges from carbon road bikes to children's bikes. Lapierre makes up the largest share of the road bike models, from the entry-level Sensium Junior variant to the Xelius SL 9.0 with Dura-Ace Di2. There are also models from Berria, Bottecchia, Fuji, Kross, Ridley, Winora and Merida – such as the Bottecchia Carbon gravel bike, the Kross Esker 6.0 or Merida's e-road bike with a Mahle drive.

Prices are tiered by hire days: the longer you hire, the less you pay per day. Accident insurance can optionally be booked from €5 per day (the amount depending on bike model) and covers damage to or repairs of the bike – not the loss or theft of the bike. On booking, a deposit of 50 per cent of the hire price is due; whether this is refunded on cancellation depends on the chosen rate tier (Basic rate with no refund, Plus rate with a refund on cancellation at least 7 days before the hire start).

In the summer months of June, July and August, the Ecobikes shop stays closed on Sundays, by its own account; returns and handovers on those days go through the partner Paco's Rent a Bike, just under a kilometre away. In high season a return time of 18:00 on the last hire day also applies, in some cases with a minimum hire duration – so booking in advance is advisable.
