About Hürzeler Hotel Occidental Playa de Palma
The Hürzeler station on the lower ground floor of the Hotel Occidental Playa de Palma rents out exclusively current Cube bikes – road bikes, sport bikes, e-road bikes and e-bikes. A special feature here: the Assos Factory Outlet right at the station. It is open almost all year round – in the 2026 season until 31 December. Guided tours start from the main station at the Hotel HM Gran Fiesta. According to Hürzeler's station description, Playa de Palma is a good starting point for bike tours in flat, rolling to gently hilly terrain; in the eastern hinterland and along the southern coast a well-signposted network of routes runs over resurfaced side roads, while for mountainous stages the provider recommends tours towards the northern and western part of the island. Besides the station in the Occidental itself, Hürzeler names the Hotel Obelisco on the same page as a further assigned hotel. According to the provider, the station is equipped with bike hire, a bike cellar, a workshop, a wash station and a boutique. If you're staying at one of the two named hotels on the Playa de Palma, you save yourself the trip to another bike rental. Good bike, odd service
We ultimately got good bikes, that was good; the way there wasn't good, long waiting time and inadequate communication.

Gutes Rad komischer Service
Wir haben schlussendlich gute Räder bekommen, das war gut, der Weg dorthin war nicht gut, lange Wartezeit und unzureichende Kommunikation.
Got a new bike!
Lots of good bikes available; I was lucky and got a brand-new one. Hope to come again next year.

Neues Bike bekommen!
Viele gute Bikes vorhanden, ich hatte Glück und hab ein Brand neues gekriegt. Hoffe nächstes Jahr wieder.
Received an older bike...
On holiday I'd have wished for a nicer bike. At least better than my road bike at home, since a holiday is surely there to treat yourself for once. Next time I'll know better and pick a more expensive alternative... with a higher fun factor. The Playa de Palma is great as a starting point for tours, but the level of the tourists is unfortunately still very low. That gets annoying after a few days.

Älteres Fahrrad erhalten...
Im Urlaub hätte ich mir ein schöneres Rad gewünscht. Zumindest besser als mein Rennrad zu Hause, denn Urlaub ist doch da um sich auch mal etwas zu gönnen. Das nächste Mal weiss ich bescheid und suche mir eine teuere Alternative aus...mit höherem Spassfaktor. Die Playa de Palma eignet sich super als Ausgangspunkt für Touren, aber das Niveau der Touristen ist leider noch sehr niedrig. Das nervt nach ein paar Tagen.
"German professionalism" coupled with "Spanish efficiency"
The equipment was very good as expected, the bike was perfectly set up and the bike looked like new. But then it did come down to the organisation: as a guest of another hotel, I was sent to the nearby station after a long wait. That would need to be communicated much better. Only for that reason, unfortunately not 5 stars.

"Deutsche Professionalität" gekoppelt mit "spanischer Effizienz"
Equipment war wie erwartet sehr gut, das Rad war perfekt eingestellt und das Bike sah wie neu aus. Doch an der Organisation scheiterte es dann doch: Als Gast eines anderen Hotels wurde ich nach langer Wartezeit in die nahegelegene Station geschickt. Das müsste viel besser kommuniziert werden. Nur deshalb leider keine 5 Sterne.
