The deposit is tiered by bike class rather than a flat rate - for a premium road bike it can be considerably higher than for a simple trekking bike. Accessories such as helmet and clipless pedals are added on top of the displayed hire price, so should be budgeted for separately.
About Two Fine Wheels (ex Mar i Monte)
Founded in 1999 by Fabian Runge as Marimonte Outdoor Sports, the business has traded as Two Fine Wheels since 2023 and today, alongside its location in Cala d'Or, also runs a bike shop in Berlin-Kreuzberg. By its own account, the shop has moved after years of cooperation with a hotel chain and is now located right in the centre of Cala d'Or.
The hire fleet caters above all for sporty purposes: road bikes from Wilier (Filante, some with SRAM AXS or Shimano Di2) and Merida (Scultura, Reacto), plus gravel bikes from Merida (Silex) and Cannondale (Topstone), a Cannondale e-gravel with a Bosch motor, as well as MTB models from Conway (Cairon, RLC) and Ghost (SLAMR, Kato X). For families and more leisurely tours there are cross and trekking bikes from Stevens as well as city e-bikes, and for children simple kids' bikes. According to the website, starting prices range from €22 (cross/trekking/kids' bike) to €78 (race-ready road bikes and premium-class e-bikes).
Important for booking: according to its own hire terms, Two Fine Wheels does not accept telephone reservations - booking is done online or directly in the shop. Helmet, lock and clipless pedals can be booked as accessories but are not automatically included in the hire price. The deposit depends on the bike class: base models such as kids' or trekking bikes are €100 per bike, mid-range sports and e-bike classes €250, and premium road bikes such as the Wilier Filante Race Ready or the e-gravel €500 per bike.

Good bikes, delivered far too late
We had hired 2 bikes for 10 days, great Felt bikes, but unfortunately the delivery was a disaster.

Gute Räder, viel zu spät geliefert
Wir hatten 2 Räder für 10 Tage gemietet, tolle Felt Räder, leider war die Anlieferung eine Katastrophe.
