About Philipps Bike Team Santa Ponsa
Philipps Bike Team is one of the island's oldest cycling operators: founder Philipp Egli started out in Santa Ponsa in the late 1990s, and according to the company it has been organising cycling holidays on Mallorca for over 25 years. The bike rental on the first floor of the Sentido Punta del Mar is the larger of the two PBT stations – the second is in Playa de Muro/Alcudia – and is also the starting point for all guided PBT tours in the south-west, with a bike cellar right in the hotel and a boutique for clothing and accessories. The rental fleet's road bikes and e-bikes for 2026 run under the AVONA and DRAG brands. The flagship model is the new AVONA Velum (Shimano Ultegra Di2, 7.6 kg) from €208 per week; the DRAG Celerra Disc Ultegra starts at €136, and the Di2 version, the Celerra Disk Pro Gen. 2, at €196. Added to these are the DRAG Celerra MHO e-road bike (from €208), touring e-bikes from €108 and fitness or touring bikes from €61 per week. You select all common pedal systems when booking, and the workshop fits your own pedals on site; on request there are SQ-Lab saddles, and for a €30 surcharge the bike is set up to measure (depending on workshop workload). Important: bike computer mounts are not fitted – bring your own or buy a Garmin or phone mount in the boutique. The bikes can carry a maximum load of 120 kg. The location suits the profile: from Santa Ponsa you can reach the hilly loops around Calvià, Paguera, Palmanova, Camp de Mar and Port d'Andratx as well as the foothills of the Tramuntana. Guided tours start in up to six ability groups (3–14 participants) directly at the station; anyone coming in winter (November–February) has their rental bike delivered island-wide. Not recommended
Unfortunately, Philips Bike Team is proving to be a bad loser in the coronavirus crisis.
Even though it was demonstrably designated as a package holiday, you're left to foot the cancellation costs. Not lawful. No response at the moment.
So much for the family atmosphere.
So when it's all over, book elsewhere.

Nicht zu empfehlen
Leider erweist sich Philips Bike team als schlechter Verlierer in der Corona Krise.
Obwohl nachweislich als Pauschalreise ausgewiesen. Bleibt man auf Stornokosten sitzen. Nicht rechtens. Rückmeldung aktuell Fehlanzeige.
Soviel zum Thema familiäre Atmosphäre.
Also wenn alles vorbei ist woanders buchen.

Very opaque & unfair pricing
I find PBT relies too heavily on the "extras" in its pricing. And save yourself the "BIKE TO MEASURE" when booking. Our bikes were only set up on site once we were already at the bike station. The 15 euros were gone all the same.

Sehr untransparente & unfaire Preisgestaltung
Ich finde PBT bedint sich zu sehr an den "Extras" bei der Preisgestaltung. Und erspart Euch bloss das "FAHRRAD NACH MASS" beim buchen. Unsere Räder wurden erst vor Ort eingestellt als wir schon in der Radstation waren. Die 15 Euro waren trotzdem weg.
Technically and visually AWESOME bikes
Definitely recommended! We've just had bikes at the beginning of March (2018) with a maximum of 500 km on the clock... nicely broken in and in absolutely as-new condition. We were thrilled!

Technisch und Optisch GEILE Räder
Auf JEDEN FALL zu empfehlen! Hatten jetzt Anfang März (2108) Räder mit max. 500Km auf dem Buckel...schön eingefahren und im absolut neuwertigem Zustand. Wir waren begeistert!
It doesn't get any better
I had a Die Aero g6 Pro for 200 euros/week. The bike was new and no cheating with the Ultegra D12. A different choice of wheels would be great, but that's already grumbling at a very high level.

Ich hatte ein Die Aero g6 Pro für 200Euro/Woche. Das Rad war neu und keine Schummelleien bei der Ultegra D12. Ein andere Auswahl an Laufrädern wäre Toll, aber das ist schon meckern auf sehr hohem Niveau
