Rad International Paguera

In brief

Rad International runs a Cycling Center in Peguera that is open almost all year round with a Canyon-heavy fleet – from an aluminium road bike from €23/day to a carbon racer with Ultegra Di2, plus MTBs, e-bikes, trekking and children's bikes. A bike computer, helmet, bike fitting, final cleaning and basic damage cover up to €300 are included in the hire price – theft insurance, however, is not. This suits road cyclists and mountain bikers in the south-west of the island; the second station in Santa Ponsa, though, only opens in spring and autumn.

About Rad International Paguera

The road-bike fleet at the hire shop on Carrer des Capdellà consists almost entirely of Canyon models: from the aluminium training bike Endurace AL 7.0 (€23/day, €130/week) through the Endurace CF 7 with 105 Di2 (from €32/day) to the Ultimate CF SL and Aeroad with Ultegra Di2 (€36/day each), plus the Radon Spire as the aero flagship. Frame sizes range from 2XS to 3XL depending on the model, a women's model (Endurace WMN) is available, and switching to a women's saddle is free of charge. Every road bike is fitted with a saddlebag containing a spare tube, a mini pump, a bike computer and two bottle cages; an Inpeak power meter in the Ultegra crank can be hired from €15/day, while Garmin and Wahoo mounts are provided free of charge. Off the asphalt, the XC hardtail Grand Canyon (from €29/day), the trail full-suspension Neuron and the enduro Strive are ready to go; among the e-bikes there's the Neuron:ON with Shimano EP8, the SUV model Pathlite:ON with Bosch Performance CX and a 750 Wh battery, the e-gravel Grail:ON and the e-trekking bike Radon Relate (e-bikes from €37/day). Families will find Cube trekking bikes from €18/day and Cube children's bikes in 20 to 24 inch from €12/day. According to the operator, the Cycling Center in Peguera includes a café, a workshop with mechanics and a trail park just a few steps from the station – plus guided road and MTB tours. Behind the hire operation is RIS Sportreisen GmbH from Regensburg, which also sells hotel-plus-bike packages with airport transfer and included Prime insurance cover at partner hotels; but you can hire bikes without a package too, even by the day depending on the season. Payment at the station is by cash or card, and if it's closed in the evening, you'll get a key for the bike room and can return the bike at any time.
