About Sport Bequi Arenal

Bartolomé Bestard opened the shop on Carrer Llaüt in 1979 – the „tienda original“ of the family business Sport Bequi. Today, according to the website, the Arenal branch focuses on cycling clothing and accessories; by its own account the provider describes it as the cycling-clothing shop with the largest variety on Mallorca. According to market research, the location is still active (as of 2026), and the business's website is kept up to date with a 2026 copyright. The business's bike hire is organised on sportbequi.com as „Rent a Bike“: in the booking form you choose your pick-up and return dates, or the reservation runs via the Bequi app (iOS and Android). The website expressly names the second branch in Port d'Alcúdia in the north of the island as the location with sales, repairs and bike hire – bike types, brands and rental prices, however, cannot be viewed online. The same business also owns the Rent March hire company in Port de Pollença, which, according to market research (as of 2026), hires out bikes from Trek and Orbea. For you, this specifically means: if you want to hire a road bike at short notice in El Arenal or at Playa de Palma, clarify availability and the handover location by phone in advance – the website provides no information on the hire scope of the Arenal branch. You'll find further providers for bike hire directly in the area at Bike Rental Playa de Palma.

If you're not in a hurry – this is the place. Best to reserve in advance ....

Super friendly, matter-of-fact and knowledgeable – you should bring time with you, there's no stress here; hiring 2 e-bikes took almost 1 hour, but in return everything was perfectly explained, done, added to, and there was plenty of accessories (lock, saddlebag etc. at no extra charge).

Any time again!

Jeder Zeit wieder !

Was quite good

They gave me good advice and so I was able to gather great first experiences with a road bike. I'll definitely try that again. I think the prices are ok too, when you compare them.

Friendly & competent despite limited communication

My road bike was already 2–3 years old but very well cared for! At the hire station you get the feeling of being in Spain, everything runs in a very relaxed manner here. But that was completely ok too. The staff member spoke German quite well.. the few words we had to exchange. Overall I was very satisfied; I just missed the "team spirit"/small talk a little. So the hire was a bit cold, even though the bike and the service were ok!

Freundlich & Kompentent trotz geringer Kommunikation
