About Wheels Sport Alcudia
By its own account, Wheels Sport has run its bike hire since 1986 and today focuses essentially on two brands: Orbea for the road bikes – from the Orca M30i (from 30 €/day) to the Orca Aero M10iLTD (from 90 €/day) – and Riese & Müller for the e-bikes, including the Homage5 Vario (from 60 €/day), Nevo4 GT Touring (from 30 €/day) and the Multitinker e-cargo bike. As an e-road bike, the Orbea Gain M30i is available from 33 €/day, and as a trekking bike the Kross Trans 4.0 from 14 €/day. The fleet is continually renewed; according to the provider, the bikes are usually only a few months old and are fully checked over before every handover. The shop in Port d'Alcúdia sits on a corner with a terrace on the main road towards Artà and is open all year round – not something to be taken for granted by Mallorcan standards. Anyone who doesn't want to collect their bike can have it delivered: the in-house delivery service brings hire bikes to any point on the island. If you have a breakdown or feel unwell on the road, the team picks you up wherever you are. And if you like your hire bike, you can buy it – part of the rental price is credited. By its own account, bike fitting as well as a pump and spare tube are included in the rental price. On top of the bike hire there are four guided tours (including Sa Calobra, Cap de Formentor and Orient), the sale of used premium bikes, and a shop with jerseys, helmets and nutrition. Does Wheels Sport deliver the bike to my hotel?
Yes. Wheels Sport runs its own delivery service covering all of Mallorca (tel. +34 684 759 959). Alternatively, you collect your bike at one of the three stations: Port d'Alcúdia, Port de Pollença or Can Picafort. The website doesn't state the delivery costs - ask when booking.
Can I cancel my booking free of charge?
That depends on the rate: on the Basic rate there's no refund. The Flexi-Premium rate refunds up to 30 days before pick-up and allows a date change up to 15 days beforehand - plus you can collect the bike as early as the day before and get a free water bottle.
Do I have to pay everything in advance when booking online?
