About Active Mallorca

Active Mallorca is still trading as a company but has shifted its focus to hotel stations in the north: the main station is at the Hotel Valentin on the Playa de Muro, between Can Picafort and Playa de Muro, right by the S'Albufera nature reserve, with an attached 25-metre training pool – according to the operator, a location where squad and national teams also train. There is a second station at the Hotel JS Palma Stay in Palma, where pre-reserved hire bikes are kept ready for hotel guests in the bike cellar, though without a permanent mechanic service on site. The former Alcúdia/Pollença station at the Hotel Portblue Club Pollentia has, according to the operator, no longer been available since the Covid year of 2020; hire-bike bookings for this hotel zone are only possible against a separate delivery fee, or bikes can alternatively be collected at the main station in Playa de Muro. For guests in Playa de Palma and Can Pastilla, Active Mallorca offers its hotel delivery service, by its own account, at other accommodation on request too; a fixed shop address in Can Pastilla itself is no longer listed on the current website. On the carbon road bikes – mainly the Orbea Orca (M20, M30, some Di2/disc) and Canyon Ultimate/Endurace – pedals are not fitted as standard; bringing your own clipless pedals is expected, or the mechanics will fit Look, Look Keo, SPD or SPD-SL pedals for a hire charge of €1 per day. Fitted as standard are a saddlebag with a spare tube and tyre levers, a pump and two bottle cages. A power-meter crank, carbon wheels and a range extender for e-bikes can, according to the enquiry form, be added for a surcharge. If you pre-reserve, you should allow for the minimum hire period of 3 days – shorter rentals of 1 to 2 days are, according to the operator, only possible on the spot subject to availability. Alongside the classic road, triathlon and MTB hire, Active Mallorca also carries trekking, city and children's bikes, as well as its own bike sales and a hire-bike service for finca holidaymakers.
