Rent March Port de Pollença
In brief
Rent March has been hiring out bikes for over 20 years right in the harbour town of Puerto de Pollença, covering the usual cycling-holiday needs with road, mountain, trekking, e- and children's bikes from Trek and Orbea. Anyone looking for a current Trek or Orbea model who prefers to collect at the shop counter rather than via a delivery service is in the right place; anyone who values island-wide delivery will find no information about it on the provider's website. At a glance (as of July 2026)

About Rent March
By its own account, Rent March has run its bike hire for over 20 years on Calle Joan XXIII in Puerto de Pollença, right in the north-east of Mallorca. The fleet ranges from Trek road bikes such as the Madone SL7 Gen 8 and the Domane+ (e-road bike), through Orbea models such as the Orca M20iTEAM and M30i, to mountain bikes, trekking bikes, e-bikes (including the Trek Allant+ and Verve+, and an e-gravel bike from Niner) and children's bikes. Alongside bikes, Rent March also hires out scooters and motorbikes at the same location. For online bookings, according to the provider's website, a minimum hire period of 3 days applies; shorter hires are possible on site subject to availability. Anyone booking several days gets a tiered discount (from 12% from the second day up to 35% from the seventh day). For rides into the Tramuntana mountain range around Puerto de Pollença – for example towards Cap de Formentor or Sa Calobra – the road and mountain bike models are especially suitable. For handover you need photo ID (identity card or passport); the maximum permitted rider weight is, according to the provider, 125 kg. The website gives no information about a delivery service, insurance details or a specific deposit amount – anyone wanting to clarify this is best asking directly before booking.Photos

poor condition of the bikes and unfriendly

The tyres were very heavily worn and in places already had holes in the sidewalls. Pointing out the decrepit equipment afterwards was brushed off with "I don’t care".

Cautiously asking whether a bike might be available in L instead of M was answered rudely with "were we crazy and what were we thinking, asking for something like that in high season".

Bikes with electronic shifting were handed over with partly empty batteries. We'd asked beforehand whether the batteries on all the bikes were full, which was confirmed to us. Afterwards we were just told unkindly that "it was our own fault for not checking". Sorry for relying on what we'd been told earlier...

We will definitely NEVER hire bikes there again.

Orbea bikes and really arrogant
At least we had great new Orbea bikes; after an hour on the bike I'd forgotten the unfriendly staff again.

Staff not very nice
Bikes, price and service OK, but the staff seem a bit stuck-up unfortunately.
